I love the rustic cotton shirts made by outdoor brands from the 90s to 00s, so I searched around for fabric with that image in mind. I found a dobby weave with a three-dimensional, grained texture and my favorite fine check pattern, and made a short-sleeved shirt out of it. I embroidered an oval logo, often used by surf and techno brands, on the hem, giving the shirt a nice retro feel. I imagine it would look great paired with large, streamlined sunglasses.
