■HTS74/HI-TEC/Hi-TEC■ Hi-TEC was born in the UK in 1974, with its roots in squash shoes. The hiking shoes "Sierra", released in 1978, brought the concept of "lightweight" to outdoor shoes, which had previously been heavy, and became popular. It also became a big topic in Japan at the time, when the outdoor boom was just beginning to take hold. Since then, they have developed a comprehensive lineup, from trekking shoes for mountaineers aiming to reach high peaks to camping shoes for enjoying outdoor activities.
